My name is Don, and I'm optimistic that this will be the year that I make it to BM. My desire to go has been building for the last several years and really crystalized this winter. The "Metamorphoses" theme resonates strongly with me, having recently clicked over 40 years on this planet and feeling the need to make some significant changes to grow into the next phase of my life. I feel like diving in and really trying to embody the 10 core principles in such an intense environment is an excellent catalyst for some of the growth and change I've been looking for in the "default" world.

I'm incredibly excited for some desert sunrises, the opportunity to meet some new people, see some otherworldly art, and to let some things burn away in the fires of the temple.

Nice! I’m a hopeful virgin too this year. I’ve been “following “ along for years online and everything makes it seem right for this year to be the year I make it out. The ten principles definitely speak to me so it will be wonderful to finally have all my expectations shattered and to experience them on the playa.

Other than heat, dust, and waiting at the gate/exodus I'm trying to go in without expectations and let serendipity take over. I spent three weeks last year in the deserts of southern Nevada, Arizona and Utah traveling alone by motorcycle and camping -- and many of the best moments of the trip came from taking that approach.
