1st Time Burner Seeking a Tribe

Post by Socabtrfly » Tue Feb 19, 2019 1:51 pm

Good afternoon,
I have been following BM on several platforms for many years. I thought 2019 was going to be an amazing year. Jan 2nd my Mother passed away, A few days later I was fired, 2 weeks after that I was told I have to move. Despite all this negativity & encouragement to take prozac & other self medicating methods. I decided to pour myself into something beyond myself. I want to experience something totally different. I hope to evolve and become more self aware. This years theme of "Metamorphosis" seemed so fitting. I do not know how to begin this process, but if anyone has tips and can educate me on how to serve, please, by all means share all your knowledge. I'm ready to serve & grow.

Hola and hello...

Read all the first timer/survival guide info at burning man.org. There’s a ton of info out there. We like to help new people here but you’ll get some shit if you ask a seemingly easy question that can be found with a little reading or research

Seek and find regional contacts in your area if you can. It’s a great way to meet burners in your area. You may be able to join a camp, volunteer on an art project, etc...
Oh my god, it's HUGE!

Welcome. I am so sorry for your loss. You have a lot of reading to do, figure out your logistics and survival. Do you know where to begin?

A moderator note: I did remove the seeking a camp part from your title. Seeking a tribe implies you are simply looking for like minded people, seeking a camp means you should be posting in the Camp forums, we literally have a Seeking a Camp thread.
