hi im new to the board...my name is tres'..im from the new england area..this year will be my first burning man and im insanely exited..i am in a lil bit of a crunch for a ride though..i was wondering whether anyone out there knows of anyone who has ever taken a bus???is that even possible??what id really like is to meet some chill people to bust out there with from this area...if anyone has any suggestions or they want to just say hi ..id grrrrreeatly appreciate it..thank you----tres' noxious

A quick check on fares and I see that you'll spend $278 for a round trip ticket on Greyhound from New Haven CT, and it will take you 3 days on GREYHOUND.


Or you could fly on America West for $420 (takes about a day).


Of once you're at the airport/Greyhound station you'll need to find a way to the event itself which is approximately 120 miles away from Reno.

A lot of people find rides here on the rideshare board.

Another option would be to fly into San Francisco and arrange travel to the event via Green Tortoise where $350 or so gets you to the playa, and they take care of your food and water too (there is some work involved too, I think. Whatever, read it for yourself)
