Zombie - the Musical seeks Center Stage time (or equivalent)

Post by Ludo » Sat Jul 08, 2006 7:07 am

Greetings,

One of the highlights of Playa del Fuego (the mid-Atlantic regional burn) was Zombie - The Musical! It is Rocky Horror meets every zombie b-movie ever made, with full-blown song and dance numbers and Catholic lesbian schoolgirl zombies! What's not to like? And did I mention it is hilarious?!?! It is bawdy and raunchy, but not obscene - a hard PG-13 at best. So bring the kids!

The zombies are coming to the playa, and would love to share this extravaganza with the good citizens of Black Rock City. Center Camp is by far the preferred venue for a production of this size. Due to late arrival of some cast members, and late week commitments of others, our performance window is Thursday afternoon/evening. (Geez! We don't want much, do we? Just a premier stage at a set time!) The show runs just under an hour (I think. I'm getting confirmation on that.)

I realize that the CC stage is prime real estate. If it is not available, and anyone knows of a stage that can support a production with up to a dozen people dancing on stage at any given moment, please let me know. We have a standing offer from Spike's Vampire Bar to use the outdoor stage, but it would make for a somewhat cramped performance.

Any help, suggestions, or comments will be appreciated! Thanks!
