Paperwork.

Post by Ron » Mon Jun 19, 2006 2:32 pm

Done! I just finished submitting all of our camp's paperwork to BMORG for this year! Yay! Much happiness.

We had to do both the theme camp and art installation forms this year, each of which says it should take about 15 to 30 minutes to complete. Ha! Try more like three hours if one doesn't count the many hours of work involved with planning (blue prints, budgets, and plans) the art instillation itself. Now I'm not bitching, mind. The folk doing the planning and interfacing with BLM gotta know what's going on. But I am curious.

How long does it take most of you to do the paperwork for your theme camp? Between the art project plans, leave no trace plans, map, and so on you're looking at 16 pages that took at least four or five hours total to pull together for us. Over 20 hours if you include all the work for the art installation plans. And I'm just curious how that stacks up. With dozens (hundreds?) of registered theme camps they must just be swimmin' in paperwork in San Fran right about now. Ooof.

I'll have a cold, liquid, and alcoholic thank you for anyone gettin' paper cuts on their fingers as they shuffle thousands of pages of burner plans. Stop by Shady Asylum to collect and thank you for your efforts.

So, how many pages and how long to do the theme camp/art installation paperwork for you?
