Glad to see the info posted, but terrified at the location we've been given. Holy crap!

Damn, I thought I might at least get in the top 3, but ED wins

We're in the hood with each other again this year!

We specifically requested not to be in Center Camp. Any ideas on whom to contact to see about a change?

OK, must to know... who did you pay to bribe, and how much?? Is excellent Esplanade location. You should to be happy for such overwhelming... luck.

Yeah, I hear you Sue. On one hand, I'm flattered that someone thought we were worthy of such a prime piece of playa real estate, but on the other hand I'm freaking the fuck out.

We're not any kind of highly interactive camp at all, it's mostly a staging ground for us. We don't have any public bar or food offerings, and I don't even think we'll have people at camp for large chunks of the day. The added foot traffic and visibility are likely to be a problem for us.

I know the list is final, but I'll keep my hopes up that we can try and work something out and move back a few streets.

I have to agree that this is prime real estate, and that we'll need to just buck the fuck up and entertain the masses. If it is too nuts, I just might need to drive to the outskirts to get some sleep though. I'll give it the ol' college try of course. I just bought some new earplugs, and I've lived in Center Camp before, so I know how I think I can make this work.

Is there a map of exactly where we're located, vis-a-vis the 3:00 Plaza?

Sections divide the city for placement. I placer per section.

So, last year, TheRock and I were walking around on the first morning of our first burn ever, and at Amnesia and 7:30 we came upon a young man in a leather coat and sweats, stumbling, delirious and seriously dehydrated, not knowing who or where he was, going in and out of consciousness. We were able to move him into someone's shade and ran to get the medics (after being loaned a Very Nice Bike from someone named Paladin). When the medics came, they said the young man wouldn't have lasted more than a few more minutes out there, and they weren't sure how he was going to do. They planned to airlift him out.

That was our first experience of Burning Man, when we felt the infernoheavenesque of Burning Man for the first time.

We just got our camp placement. Anxious and 7:30. Of course. ~:)

The official gate map given to all participants will only have the large villages, and a repeat of the list of camps from the website.

hola!

someone posted on here (i think) about taking the information for the camp locations and creating an excel sheet.

i was wondering if this person could possibly send me the file...

i'm compiling a list of neighbors of our camp in an effort to reach out and connect. it would be WAY easier to just go into excel and switch up the sort so i could have all the camps more organized by location rather than name.

if anyone could link me to that conversation on here, or HAS the file, please pm me.

thanks so much!!!

bless
lina
