Lamplighters had interesting art in our jots this year which really seemed to help me with pooping. Something to look at and dissect gave me the time I needed for regularity. That was a new thing for us this year, and it was really effective. If anyone is looking for a simple gifting project next year, I highly recommend art in the porta potties. Make it weird and wonderful. Note to pranksters, one of the reasons I hated pooping time in 2012 was that someone put a little something in one of our jots that played "It's a Small World" in the most annoying digital way. It played ALL BURN and could be heard from all our potties. Imagine this as you are trying to work up towards your own movement: MEMEMEMEME MEMEMEMEME MEMEMEMEME MEMEMEMEME MEMEMEMEME MEMEME MEMEME MEMEME MEMEME MEMEMEMEMEMEME. Don't put the pooping noose around Burner's necks. It was funny the first time I went in.

Last year our camp (Grandma Frum's Painful Candy, Drip Coffee and Bike Repair) hosted a little get together: Prunes With Grandma, on Thursday afternoon. We advertised it with flyers taped inside our neighborhood portapotties (the ones by DISTRIKT). We had lots of takers. Everyone is happy to be gifted prunes at Burning Man! We'll be doing it again this year.

Ahhh yes, I remember my first dump on the playa and it's still being talked about among my camp mates to this day. It was a breezy late evening on the second day. We rode our bikes to the far point and I felt a slight twinge in my tummy upon arrival. As the twinges increased in frequency and pain, I could no longer keep this predicament to myself. Seeing the blue light on the horizon, I informed my camp mates where I was headed and peddled hastily with utter disregard to the wind or dunes. Arriving at the row of porta potties near the Temple, I was able to secure one immediately. The blackness over took my senses as I tried to maneuver inside the small space and adjust my position properly so my long fury tail didn't touch anything unseemly. Once my bowels were evacuated, I sat there for several moments thinking about what a pain in the ass it would be to have a real tail.

My camp mates cheered when I finally exited the potty unscathed. From then on,it's been 6:30 AM everyday like clockwork.
