Okay you two, take your personal pissing match elsewhere. It's reached the tail of "cute", and obviously there will be no consensus reached. One of you has to have the cojones not to respond to the other.

You know what? This is getting a bit intense for me. I'm going back to the NYC list's Israel-Palestine flame war to cool down a bit.

let me make this perfectly clear.

i do not attend the temple burn lately, and i rarely visit, unless to deliver some things.

last year i dropped off two items for two friends

in the past, i have left things that i wanted to let go of, not necessarily people, sometimes habits, sometimes relationships, other times items, like a pair of boots.

i loved those boots, i had known them for 20 years.

i have seen and heard great circles of sound, like a wave, go round and round at previous temples

i have witnessed dead silence

i am not that person that screams and yells, BUT i will FIGHT for their right NOT TO BE SHUSHED

there was no "shushing" back in 1996.

yeah, i'm playing that card, deal with it.

but as of late, i'd say the past 7 years or so, the temple has been elevated and subtly annexed by certain "spiritual" groups and i for one, refuse to see burning man "Buddhified" or suffer through "Yogatization"....i'm sorry, but keep your meditation workshops out of it.

if you go to the temple and don't play by their "rules", you will oh so politely asked to comply or leave.....an act of radical exclusion.

fuck that.

don't you dare tell anyone how and what to mourn, or let go off....kiss my fucking ass.

seriously.

PS...i'll bring my freebird 8-track cassette and player to the dome with me...i'm radically self reliant that way.

If you really want to "talk" in person send me a PM and we'll set something up, but don't expect me to take time out of my burning week just to put your crotchety ass in its place. I'm not in the habit of getting into physical confrontations with internet trolls.

Simon is not a troll. He is a much loved member of the community.

He has a valid point and is passionate about the principles of Burningman.

He occasionally annoys me, but so do you.

Both of you need to move on.
