When is the appropriate time to panic about missing tickets?
So I've been hearing how Ticket Fly has been screwing up (lack of shipment notification emails, improperly filled orders that are missing some of the items, not sending the items via registered mail that has tracking/required signature) and I'm getting really, really nervous.
Tickets have been going out for almost a month now and I haven't heard or seen anything. I'm not in full panic mode quite yet, but I'm wondering when the appropriate time for panic is.

I'm quelling my panic by channeling it into anger and indignation about Ticketfly not sending shipping emails with tracking info. It's working quite nicely

I'm remaining calm until July 25th.
It helps that others have yet to receive tickets.

Why the 25th specifically?

I'm going away on the 27th for a few days. No concerns about delivery as I have the tickets delivered to my office, but I figured a hard freakout date would let me keep focused on other things between now and then.

This. Very sound thinking. A good technique.VultureChow wrote:I'm going away on the 27th for a few days. No concerns about delivery as I have the tickets delivered to my office, but I figured a hard freakout date would let me keep focused on other things between now and then.
And no I do not have my tickets yet either.

I was freaking out about ticket stuff, but I got my email last Wednesday, it's supposed to be at my door by today.
I'd say the time to freak out would be by late* next week.

I have sooooo many other things to freak out about. Getting something finished with my new cougar, making my camp look nice (and more secure) for our new location, and a new department I'm going to train with.

I wouldn't become concerned until the end of July, or when you see something posted here about the main ticket mailing having been completed. Of course, you could always contact the ticket support team with your order # and ask.

I don't have mine yet, either
Re: When is the appropriate time to panic about missing tick
I did will-call for the first time this year specifically so there is no panic at all.
I will miss receiving that delicious piece of candy.. if I'm lucky.. maybe they'll have left overs to give out with the will call tix!

Re: When is the appropriate time to panic about missing tick
After being on hold with UPS for over an hour, they just told me that when they tried to deliver my envelope, on June 30, the driver realized the package was empty. The package was sent back to San Francisco, and the tickers were placed in it and them resent.
That sounds very fishy to me. Why was there no record of this in UPS's system? Ill celebrate when I get them.

Re: When is the appropriate time to panic about missing tick
I bought a vehicle pass in the pre-sale. Got an email and received the pass a couple weeks ago. Bought two tickets in the regular sale. So far no email and no ticket but there's still plenty of time to get it sorted out so I'm not fretting. I just hope I don't get stuck waiting in the HOOOOORRRIBLE Will Call line as a means of fixing a ticket screw up. Did will call tickets two years ago and plan to never do it again. What a cluster eff that was...

Re: When is the appropriate time to panic about missing tick
26 days after they were sent out, I got my tickets today!! I think. I actually got 2 packages from UPS, both damaged. I ordered 2 tickets and 2 vehicle passes. I got 4 tickets and 3 vehicle passes. Now I have to figure out if any of them are mine. And figure out whose order I got so they can get their tickets.

Were both packages addressed to you? I'd email burning man ticket support, I'm sure they'd be super excited to help you correct this mistake and get those tickets to the probably panicked/grief stricken burner who is missing them.rudbyrd wrote:26 days after they were sent out, I got my tickets today!! Latest Saga on Rud's tickets.
I ordered 2 ticket and 2 passes. I got, 25 days after they were supposed to be delivered, 4 tickets and 3 passes. I called Ticketfly. Let them know, said they would have someone call me back. No one did. I called again today and got someone to help me. Turns out, none of the tickets and passes I received, were mine. I somehow got 2 others orders, so those tickets have been cancelled and we are back to waiting for my tickets.
But it's all good. The Playa provides

Just curious, Rud, were you tracking your tickets? I was notified by Ticketfly yesterday, around 3pm with a tracking number. This is all the Post Office tracking says:rudbyrd wrote:Latest Saga on Rud's tickets.

Money,
That was the same initial message that I received - You are now in the "mailing out system".
That message means that the label for your package has been created and the USPS has been notified to pick-up your package.
As soon as your package is scanned by the USPS at pick-up, you will be able to track its progress -somewhat.
Not long now.

I did not get an email from Ticketfly. I got the missed delivery slip, and then all hell broke loose.
