The BRCCP has decided to invest in a fleet of Uber Art Cars for next years Burn. With the new Bmorg guidelines on radical cash-grabbing inclusiveness, this seems like the perfect opportunity to make a little scratch off of the event. Catering to the Airhub clients of the Burning Man Project in their migration between First Camp and their sequestered digs out on L and K, the BRCCP is now interviewing drivers for this partnership.

On a week-long volunteer outing with wonderful giving people, the conversation turned to how great Oprah is for her generosity. I turn to the other volunteers and explain that Oprah is only giving back from a bounty given her, her giving always comes with an advantage to herself and never at a loss, and that they, the volunteers here donating their own money and scant vacation time, were far more generous than Oprah. They immediately turned on me for the audacity of claiming they themselves, the struggling little guy, was somehow better than the comfortable exalted one. Oh, I eventually won them all over.

For some reason this dynamic comes to mind when I consider how some folks lined up on the commodification/for-profit/insider-rigging/sell-out issue when it was first brought up by the voices crying in the wilderness.

As an aside, I was out with a friend last night who asked about the political status of Cuba. They doubted me when I told them that Cuba was still Commie. I eventually had to pull out my Ace card and point out that I was in fact a representative of the Black Rock City Communist Party. The whole Bmorg thing might not be a conspiracy, but we are.

Old maybe in that it has been going on for a long time, but it was still a good read. As an anarcho-leaning libertarian (whatever that means) I'd think you'd want it shouted from the roof tops. Something has to be done to rile up the population and reverse this.

The problem is most "libertarians" lean Republican before they lean any other way. Now that is old news. How many proclaimed Libertarians are in Congress? How many are registered Republicans?
It's almost as if "libertarian" in practice is a cover for even more greed, but seldom more freedom. It was Liberals leading the charge with pot legalization and gay marriage, even if libertarians said they were for that freedom all the while electing officials who lowered taxes but opposed those freedoms.

And shouting anything from the rooftop is wrong wrong wrong. Submit the proper form to the proper authorities, as our finger to the wind friend has repeatedly told us. Remember?

Time for the Truth Commission.

The first step to any change or action or growth or learning is to acknowledge the issue. Without that, everything else does not follow.

This is why the first step for those in opposition is to ALWAYS say, "Complaining doesn't do anything." "Hence, there is no reason to complain."

They want to nip it in the bud while pretending to be pragmatic and concerned.

Note all the people saying how much they liked Sandstorms letter to the Borg, but constantly complained about those thoughts and views as the matured and formed and built steam and formed a solid backing by (some) BRC citizens here on eplaya.

Oh, now they all come out and say how much they support the RESULTS of the complaining and voiced opinions. They tried to squash the seed, but now praise the blooming plant.
