And we'll all be in one place on Wednesday night. See you there.

For years I would take thousands of photos - literally. Then I realized i was missing things. So now I come home with a couple dozen pics with my friends and DL others pics - with with way better eyes and equipment for my folder. DOnt try to see it all, you cant. For me what makes a burn, are the must do's -

Early entry - nothing like seeing the city built, completely different vibe.
Work with ESD - I do emergency management for a living all over the world, but the call at BMAN are an eclectic mix of everything EVERYTHING!
Thunderdome -
Mod Meet up - I went into the at last years meet up. :)
Music -
More Music
Dance until i hurt
Explore.
Fireworks
explore more.

The who what where guide is extremely helpful, but full of a lot of BS as well. so take it with a grain of salt.

In short, dont worry - ee the big stuff all the little things will fall into place and a ton of ah-ha moments will manifest.

Cheers. Thats good advice particularly with photos. Im really bad for excessively taking photos as I work with image layout everyday. I travel extensively and the last time I went to Cambodia I spent about 12 hours taking 100's upon 100's of shots of Angor Wat. Went back a second time and just cycled from temple to temple for 3 days on my own with no camera and it was a completely different experience. Camera actually becomes a burden after a while.

Other thing I learned that no matter how hard you try to capture it, a photo never does a moment justice.

Whats ESD btw?

Reckon I will have the music and more music and dance til I hurt down pat. I see so many great photos from each years' burns that I will definitely focus on living in the moment and seeing what I missed out on later. Oh- and I have started creating my outfits.... It's all getting real, and very exciting at the same time!

Thanks for the tips on what not to miss. Thunderdome sounds like my kind of place!!

Seems to me three things you make sure you get...sleep, layers and *water*. Too many folks every year suddenly feel sick, assumed they ate something bad and it turns out, they're just dehydrated! Drink water. When you're done, drink more water. It will save you a couple of days of recovery. Otherwise, the plans sort of make themselves....
