Who am I?gaminwench wrote:I'd like to request that you make an introduction thread and tell us all about who you are, what you bring to the event, where you camp, what your first BRC experience was like, and what you hope to contribute in the future.
I'm 33 years old, American, a maker, a gamer, geeky, kinky, heterosexual, cisgendered male, rational, and honest to a fault. I have attended a few dozen regional burns, mostly near the east coast, and one Burning Man (2015). I'm a loud proponent of sound consent culture ideals, and a controversial ally to various other social justice causes.
What do I bring to the event?
This year, I brought a very large crossword puzzle for passers by to solve collaboratively. I brought a lot of rope to gift to people in decorative bondage form. I brought about a hundred keychain flashlights to hand out to unlit people at night. I brought a vacuum cube (latex+pvc box for shrink wrapping humans) and used it on curious people. I contributed to installing an "exquisite corpse"-style contributory art panel project, and a light show and cuddle space in my camp's public dome. I considered bringing a zorb for people to ride, but was dissuaded by people on this forum.
Where do I camp?
This year I camped with The Universe at A/7:45, part of the Boston Hive village which is canonically located at Esplanade/8:00. The next year that I attend, I expect to be part of one of the many kink education/activity camps.
What was my first BRC experience like?

(also posted at but that is probably not public at the time you're reading this)
What do I hope to contribute in the future?
The next year that I attend I expect to do most of the following:
- bring more rope for gifting and bondage demonstration
- host rope bondage and electrical play classes
- volunteer for center camp
- bring my hot air balloon installation, which serves as a shade structure inflated by the wind
- bring another vacuum cube
- bring another, larger (more clues and more visible), crossword puzzle
- do something involving helium balloons and lofted art
