Count down to that amazing experience of being at the Playa for the first time (all the way from NL)

"Enjoy life now. It's not a rehearsal"

I took it literally and so I'm now have a count down to that amazing experience of being 'home' at the Playa for the first time, all the way from the Netherlands.
I, the Burner Virgin, will travel on my own, although a friend of mine will also be attending and burn for the 3rd time, but I'm not sure we'll meet by accident in BRC.

Last week I connected to Anat of 'Anat's Love Camp' and will contribute to her camp. She will burn for the 22nd time and welcomed me with a warm heart.

It's unbelievable, but I'm looking forward so much to meet all these loving and caring persons that I feel 'light' in my head already.
I didn't know I could be that excited at this stadium of adult life, hahaha. :P

Do you experience the same or is that only happening first timers? :?:

MartinL Welcome to ePlaya. Yes! We still get excited. Some of us are jumping around now. Some of us don't feel it till we get there. You will have a great time and no, you probably won't see your friend at the event unless you both make an effort. Start a little notebook now to carry with you. There are a surprising amount of things you'll want to write down. Start with Wednesday 6 pm at Barbie Death Camp. come to the Meet & Greet. It's where the people on this board see each other once a year. We'll hug you. there will be a table with nametags to fill out and you just say your eplaya name to get in. Food, drink and fun provided by attendees.

My first Burn I was more anxious than excited, by a narrow margin.

Nowadays, I am more excited than anxious--except for the drive. This will be my 3rd year driving and therefore only my 3rd roadtrip with me at the helm. Since I don't drive in my everyday life, I'm still getting used to being my own pilot. But it's been easier every time.

Captain Goddammit is poking a little fun at you with his utopia comment (try to let go of your expectations!) . . . but it really is a very friendly city . . . (with a few jerks, who stand out all the more for their appearance in a place where almost everyone is trying their best to be amazing).

I'm glad you'll have experienced Burners with you. Make them proud and read everything you can so they won't have to worry about you too much. Skip most of the videos until you get back.

Welcome! :)

Thanks Ratty! Looking forward to meet at Wed 6pm, but I also understand that plans at the playa are changed by all kind of events easily, hahaha.
