It's time for a new New Year's resolution

How about one you can really keep. I've tried them all.

I'm going to be a nicer person, get organized, fix up the house and yard. I'll make all those dreaded appointments and keep them. I'll empty the basement and attic. I'll give away everything I don't need. I'll do my stretching exercises, lose weight and dress nicer. etc...

This year I'm going to floss. That's it. Plain and simple. I'm 64 and have all my teeth. If I floss I can keep them.

I had to get some of those toothpick flossing utensils before I finally formed a habit of flossing. Even though it cost less, I just couldn't get the tape to work very well. It'd either cut blood off to my fingers, or slip off. Total pain.

I don't do New Years resolutions but I'm making a conscious effort to appreciate what I have and live life to the fullest.

This year, I've had a pretty good start on giving things away. Being the life-long Pack Rat From Hell, I have an overabundance of 'stuff'.
Anyone who knows me and has been to my house, knows this as fact. Inside the front door is my 'Free box', which grows almost daily, and shrinks now and then.

I was able to give away an airtight wood stove to one who had absolutely no heat, the wheelie bars from my trike to a friend who's building a trike for his wife, another (smaller) wood stove for a sweat lodge, and plenty of other very cool stuff.

My resolution for '17 is to give away as much more as possible, finding just the right people who need and appreciate it.
By the front door is my 'Free box', which grows almost daily, and shrinks now and then.

Just a few days ago, I was given 2 artificial Christmas trees, 4-1/2' tall, both with lights, along with a bunch of other seasonally related things. The next morning, I found 3 sisters, two of whom had just moved and had nothing at all for their kids' Christmas. The pile disappeared in one swell FOOP!

This makes me Very Happy!

I'll go with flossing too! I'm going to finally get in better shape and return home to the playa!
I also want to find a career that I love and move closer to the ocean.
