What are "Different goals" They have fundimentally different intents. Both are perfectly legitimate in their own right. That's why it's important to do the right exercise for the desired outcome. Do you want to feel empowered, whole, independent and centered? Or is your goal to burn off some sexual heat so you don't break something valuable?

Your choice.

Last night's educational experience was that I was simply too intoxicated to meditate. A bit disappointed, I wondered if it was worth it to blow off another night of meditation, and realized that as a tantrist, I still had an avenue that was well trodden, efficacious, and quick...masterbation. So I did, and the intented outcome of being centered, self-sufficient and empowered came through. I will continue to meditate on a regular basis, simply because I learned the lessons I needed to learn from the more physical meditation act a while back, but every so often having a fall-back plan is a very good strategy.

Basic troubleshooting technique: when you are stumped on how to solve a problem, go back to what you do know.

kind of a little bit -

the scary part had less to do with the sex, and more with pushing the emotional and trust boundaries of my favorite relationship. involving an extra person, even if it's just for sex, has a whole lot of potential pitfalls. so many, in fact, that i'm pretty sure this will not become a regular staple for us...

I was talking about coitus interruptus with gigglesnort and she wanted me to tell the entire story I mentioned to her, so here it is. Not exactly the kind of sex I intended this thread to be about, but hey, you can’t win ‘em all, right?

She went by a name that came from Shakespeare, but everyone called her O. She was petite, yet curvy, and she had long curly black hair, that went well beyond her ass when it was wet. I’m not going to get into how the night began because all of that is not important. What was important was that I wanted her, and she wanted me.

Anyway, several hours later we ended up in a hot tub. And yes, we were naked. And yes we did just about everything you can imagine, but no we didn’t culminate anything, and yes that was frustrating as hell.

The plan was to continue this thing over at her place a couple of hours later. The problem was that she had a roommate she swore was only a roommate, but out of the kindness and consideration of her heart we were going to wait until he left for work and then I was going to drop by, and we were going to get on with it.

So that is what happened. I walked in and we immediately started going at it.
