Ticket scammer/scalper reminders

Post by Sham » Tue Jul 10, 2018 5:37 am

Just a reminder about buying tickets this year. Any tickets offered either on eplaya or any other outlet, are to be purchased with caution. Before sending money, you must confirm that everything is on the up and up.

TREAT EVERY TICKET PURCHASE LIKE YOU'RE BUYING FROM A STRANGER.

Read this thread if you're buying tickets:

In the past, scammers have posed as burners, to the extent they spoke to people on the phone with tales of camps and art projects. Even if you have heard a friendly voice, use payment methods which protect you as a buyer.

If it sounds too good to be true, it's a scam.
Don't buy it!

Scammers are counting on burners being desperate for a ticket, you've got to stay rational in your hunt. People get taken for hundreds (and thousands) of dollars Every Single Year, don't be one of them.
