Doormat that doesn't shed

Post by pizzalarry » Wed Aug 08, 2018 12:40 pm

Hi peeps - I'd like to get a doormat for my tent (a shiftpod, as it happens) to scrape the dust off of my shoes before I enter. I want one that's effective, but doesn't shed bristles / fibers / etc, creating MOOP. Anybody have one they like?

Unless it gets muddy ya really can’t scrape the dust off. You could knock your boots together to shake it off...

Even better idea is to take your dusty shoes off before entering your tent when possible :coffee:

Microfiber chenille bathmat, just inside the tent door. Doesn't moop!

Mitts of the same material are really handy for de dusting the inside walls of yr tent and the outside of yr backpack.

My god! I just washed about a quarter inch of dust out of my tent. You guys with your flooring and mats, I feel dirty.

Moving this to recommendations after realizing this is a thread seeking recommendations for doormats?

Really, almost any commercially available doormats is going to have finished edges, and subsequently be relatively non-MOOPtastic. You can further hedge your bets by going over any doormat or rug you choose with a vacuum cleaner to get any loose bits that may come from the factory as stragglers.
