Burning Man and Black Rock City has its critics.

Some people just don't get it, so they create their identity by rejection of others.

Burners themselves are critical and then work in the spirit of continuous improvement of the culture and the event.

Tabloid newspapers were created in the UK by Rupert Murdoch. They were called the Red Tops because they had a red stripe at the top to stand out in the news stands.

They included outrageous headlines often with distorted or simply made up information, scandals, news of the weird, UFOs, and news of the Royals and celebrity. The NY Post is Murdoch. After Murdoch bought the WSJ it has become an unreasoned shameless political lobby. Later Murdoch developed FOXNews adding assumed victimhood, government can do no right, and party /economic interest propaganda. Promoting voluntary victimhood and celebrity gossip are weapons of mass distraction in line with Huxley's and Orwell's distopias.

Now comes EWU Media LLC, based in LV, now with principals in the Reno area. "Our work has earned recognition from prominent outlets such as Daily Mail [and] News Nation." They have edited together false information, out of context information, and unrelated academic papers into a giant pile of shit in the form of a "Stop Burning Man" mocumentary and website.

I'm not familiar with the organization, but a web search looks like garden variety social media nutters who post clickbait on social media and not a tabloid or outlet per se? The listed business address appears to be a tiny office rental or mailbox behind a financial investment place and a place that sells golf stuff. They do stuff like filming crime scenes and clickbaity nonsense like "it's a human head" and "deadliest wild west cannibal"



They've done a number of nonsensical hate pieces on Burning Man over the years, if I'm not mistaken. Anything to get a click or view.

Yes. I went down a similar path of public information. I believe even cranks should be on the radar because social media to social movements are a nonlinear chaotic system.

These dipshits have a bone to pick with BM. A couple of years ago a "conservative" friend of mine sent me a video of these fools doing an "investigative" piece where they went out to the BM site and were filming the trash on the side of the road and adjacent playa, saying that BM is full of shit and ruining our public lands. I don't think they were able to get much closer because the closure order was still in effect, it was still the week of Labor Day. They panned around and it was obvious that clean up was still well underway.

They seized on this as evidence that BM was in fact not a LNT event, my morally crusading friend was telling me that it was evil (and all of the other senseless horseshit) "crusaders" like to call those they don't see eye to eye with. It gains traction with those that NEED to believe these things, but for those of us that have actually gone, it couldn't be further from the truth. Yes, the burners were gone, yes there was trash on the sides of 34, but no they were nowhere near done cleaning up out there as shipping containers and work trucks were still visible in the distance.

They file this lawsuit so they can say that they (heroes), were trying to uncover the "cover-up" and were expelled with prejudice for doing their righteous good work, which a majority of their 6.9M "followers" will absolutely eat up and love. In reality, they probably violated the closure order and got kicked out of there like any other looky-loo or wanderer that makes their way into the closure area. They don't have a case, but they'll take the publicity and whatever donations they get through their legal defense kickstarter campaign (the attorney representing them must be desperate for attention too, trying to put her law practice on the map)... I can't wait to follow along and see exactly how this frivolous case unfolds in the courts.

BM for many is the event that they LOVE to HATE, they foam at the mouth with the anticipation that these bogus and or bad news stories be true...
