Flat roof shade at camp — shade tarp beats shade cloth every time.
A shade tarp blocks 100% of the sun hitting your footprint. After a few days the ground underneath actually cools down, and your whole camp temperature drops with it. It makes a real difference by mid-week.
Shade cloth lets light through. The ground stays hot, heat keeps building, and you never get ahead of it.

We use a custom made EMT variant that we have been making since 2003 to fund our art and camp. It knocks down to 62" poles, lag bolts, has bags and boxes for parts and works great.
