Not that i know of sir silver. My grandfather is a genealogy buff; I'll ask what he knows. My mother's family came from germany; my father's mother, poland; my father's father's from the back hills of Missouri, though the name is somewhat commonplace, it seems.

Close enough for playa time. That's me in the avatar. I swear it to be so.... until the 16th at least when I will crawl back into my jellyfish membrane. For now, the air feels good on my skin.

What a lovely smile, Mister Mister Jellyfish! Thanks for sharing. I swear that's me above and in the avatar as well. Did I tell you already, that the picture in the avatar was taken immediately following finishing the boob cancer race for the cure 5K? A happy moment for me! Yay!

You look like somebody I would listen to.

Snorty: Thanks, my wife was standing behind me cracking me up after we restated our vows (10th anniversary on Kawaii). How I love that woman of mine.

Anybody got any clout over at the bar? Let's all go see if we can make a splash there with our own mugs.

.....so this avatar was from a year ago; we were touring hte light display on the riverfront in downtown Little Rock, and it was so cold!!!

The display is put on yearly by this eccentric hicky super rich local philanthropist, Jennings Osbourne (wife and daughter Breezy adn Mitzi) who gives away tons of free bbq (not kidding) and puts on mammoth gawdy light shows all over the state (after being ordered by the court to take down his ginormous light display on his property in the middle of a busy neighborhood street that would draw crowds from statewide and thoroughly imprison neighbors in snarled spectator traffic and garish light 24/7).

Yeah, yeah... flattery ‘ll get you everywhere.

And when I’m in “sly” or “shy” mode, I smile like that.

Yee-haw!!!

it ain't just he south (Thank you, God). I heard a bit on NPR the other day about a dude in California (I think) that was facing the same situation last year. His neighbors were raising hell. This year the only thing he had on his lawn was a giant Grinch pointing at his neighbor's house.

Ha!!!!

Hopefully, this year's Little Black Dress party will not take place during a whiteout! I mean, it ruins the whole look! Still, I hope to pick up some nice pearls for this year.

And Le Chat Noir, glad to see you, Mrrrrrow! :3 Truckee's a fine town if it weren't so expensive to live there.

Notthatone, good to know a face before we meet at the...event next Saturday ;)

Sweet Sensei, the dress and hat and dust storm are lovely. Is a tiny picture of your face too much to ask?
