It calms my shit down, which is called for on a frequent basis. As that tends to make my world a better place, yes. Ever tried it?

what's the worst that can happen? alcohol poisoning, a few days off of work. well, so long as someone then creates a hospital thread.

this is, historically, why i don't get *that* emotionally wrapped up in people. we all fuck each other over, and it's just not worth it.
It would seem that way sometimes, yes? That’s a major factor in why I’ve shied away from relationships for the past couple of years. It seems to get me so out of balance. But I do find that having people around you, both around you physically as in the friends you see from day to day and around you in the mind or spirit- as in here at the Bar, is a great thing.

I don’t know the details of your situation, nor am I asking you to divulge them, much less in such an open place where people lurk in and out. But suffice it to say that, at least for me, the simple fact of knowing that somewhere out there in the ether someone typed words onto a computer screen meant just for me, is a great comfort... and that means a lot... hopefully you pick up on that too.

Dr. Mark Vonnegut, when ask by his father, Kurt Vonnegut as to what he thought life was about, replied, “Father, we are here to help each other get through this thing, whatever it is.”

You betcha’.. (placing hand on shoulder of RJ, giving a firm, yet surprisingly gentle squeeze, and a big 'ol smile)

This quote has been sitting on my desk for a year, and is a constant inspiration to me...

Well, I'm outta here, y'all.... be back on line in an hour or so...

Yes, I must be heading back down to the shop for a bit. The muse again (she's such a demanding thing). But I'll be back later to share some really... REALLY good beer I’ll be bringing... be there or be square...

Meow...

here's hoping you feel better RJ... come back later and we all can work out life's problems as the evening winds down...

so utterly untrue. Sorry to disaggree RJ, as we have been on such a roll lately, but I can't let that stand.

Still probably a lot easier and more fun for drunks to sing than Klingon operas
