(Walking in to see the bar empty, LCN goes about checking the tub temperature, insuring that all bottles are in their proper places, and generally tidying up the joint a bit.

plugging in the very large crock pot, the cat takes to slicing up fresh ingredients and tossing them in...

Finding a large paint marker with the sparkliest of sparkly ink, he writes on a piece of paper, “Creamy Potato and Broccoli soup - will be ready by the time you guys come dragging in”

After signing the note with a ink dabbed paw, he heads out to work.)

*Tall dark stranger staggers in, goes behind the bar and pulls out a gallon of orange juice. He picks a table close to the bathroom and pulls up a chair. He grabs a corner of the NEBlanket and wraps it around his emaciated torso, takes of slug of orange juice, sticks his thumb in his mouth, and pouts for a bit.* Gaaaack....

(M walks in....she sees Sam sitting at a table, he's looking a bit tired today)

Hey, Sam! You look chilled to the bone! I'll start a fire if you like.
(starts fire in the big fireplace. Sits down at the bar near Sam's table)

Hey, what's that wonderful smell?
Creamy Potato and Broccoli soup! Oh, that sounds delicious!!

5 minutes later a large order of chicken soup for Sam is delivered to the door. Sets a big steaming bowl of soup in front of him, hands him a spoon and tucks a cloth napkin into his shirt collar)

it was more my approach the last time. I was all gung ho and I think I put several people off. In reality I just want to see it happen. I'm gonna be so out there anyway the last thing I want it to worry about running the show. I just want it to happen.

If you want to bring some money for coffee it's $3. a cup. Ice is $2 a bag. That's it for actual money exchange onplaya. But en route--gas, possible hotel or camping money, food, emergency purchaces of forgotten things in reno money and blow a tire money. As a sort of guideline.

If you like em bring em. The rule of thumb (oh I hate that term, but can never think of another) is that you'll eat about half as much because of the heat.

Thsi is totaly a function of who you are. People who can cook elegantly and completely in the desert are wonderful, but some of us just are not that high-functioning at BM. I've been spoiled, but never eat much there anyway, because I have issues with food which just come to the surface there.
