Such parties can be rather insane. I was once part of one in which a small group of us holed up in a Denver motel room for three days with a blowup doll and a big bag of snow. Then we flew to Madison for the wedding. Seeing as I don't ski, the other guys made me the keeper of the bag. It was pretty amusing to have them begging at 3 in the morning. One guy couldn't sleep and read the entire city phonebook.

They told me to ration the rock, so that there would be enough to last all the way through the festivities. It was along the lines of "no matter what we may say later, do not under any circumstances, give us any more than the agreed-upon amount."

Then 3 a.m. rolls around and they are saying stuff like, "Okay, man, I know we told you not to listen to us in the middle of the night, but we were JUST KIDDING, MAN!! YOU GOTTA LISTEN TO US, MAN!! PLEASE, DOOD!!!"
