I've been hanging out with an old friend a lot this week. We went shopping the other day and I picked up a few things. Still need shoes and more summer clothes though.

Feeling kind of blue at the moment though. I think I'm just bored. I don't want to go to work tomorrow. Blah, same old, same old.

I've been waiting a lot of time drawing architectural elements with my substandard photo shop program. they are sort of a gothic deco. I stopped in at the old exhibit shop a few times this week for coffee and conversation.

I've been kind of down too

I'd like to see them some time, they sound interesting.

I think it's Spring, and the fact that I really need to get another job. Which means back to the world of work and menial labor for low pay. Bleh! I'm just feeling stuck, and broke. Who know's if I'll be able to do anything fun this year.

I was going to try the egg in the coffee thing that Bay Bridge Sue suggested, but maybe tomorrow.

Looks like it'll be a decent day on the playa. Partly cloudy and mid 40s.

As long as that storm that came thru here yesteday doesn't re-lake the playa. It was a doozie! Lessee... it's after 8 in Paris! YAY!!!!

Just stickin' my head in the door... gotta go get my nails done... whatcha think about hot pink with UV reactive paint? Give them that "healthy glow"...

Did Sensei find that double-double I set in the cubby for? Don't want it to get stale!!

Thanks for the coffee... do I detect a double shot of Espresso in it? Wow! When did'ja get the steamer??

Decided to forgo the eggs this morning and do the hair of the aardvark insted. What is this... Water Cress Shnapps??? Hmmmm.... Kinda miss the psychedelic effect, tho...

C-ya inna bit...

*sits down, pulls out Glen Fidditch and Drambuie to make a Rusty Nail*

Anybody got a glass and some ice? If not, I'll just mouth mix them.. heh..

Tomorrow I make the lovely trek to Jackpot, NV for 4-5 days to do machine conversions.. If I can convince the tech going with me, I will take a 2 hour detour to see what the Playa looks like after the storms... Still hoping the Work Party for the 22-24 April is a go...

stupid rain...

Not likely, Ms. B-B-Sue! I got a little thirsty late last night and couldn't find any booze in here. Then I found the double-double; Hit the spot, I say. Thanks for lookin' out for poor Sensei.

Hi! So ... I saw recently pics from the playa and noticed the lake. I did some reading and it seems that is it's usual state in winter. BORG2 has promised 37% less dust this year. Let's hope they can deliver.

So hey, I heard there was gonna be some kind of work crew on the last weekend in April at the ranch. Anyone know where I might find out more info or volunteer?

I started a thread in the Q&A section on this topic. It seems that at last check the playa was still under water (see Lake Lahaughton {sic}.)

Word is that the April weekend is "tentative." DPW says check in with them closer to the actual date and they will provide further info.

OK. Am I alone, or is someone hiding?
