That seems to happen around Burningman alot. I was living in SF this time last year-after the event, I'd left my job and moved. My first time, right before I left, I put in notice at my job. I'v known other people who've had transitions right around the event and it does make it hard, especially financially, but having that network of friends makes it much more possible.

Here's a funny story. I've got this shirt it says "Bad Things Happen to Stupid People". I've also got a shirt with a guy shoveling a big pile of steaming poop. I have to be really careful when I wear the first one, and can't wear the latter at all. If I'm uncareful when wearing the one, bad things happen to ME, and if I even put the second one on, my day is ruined. I've NEVER had a good day in that shirt. I simply can't wear it. I bought it because I thought it was funny. Not so funny. And that's funny.
