I'm gonna sue Mutaytor!!!

Post by jbelson » Mon Oct 20, 2003 8:45 am

Because they kicked my ass so hard last night at the L.A. Decompression. They were so tight. Watching all the performers I realized what makes them so good, They were all haveing a great time. The crowd was into it, I was even dancing on stage at the end. They were definately the hit of the decom. for me.
Overall, I the whole night exceeded my expectations. A lot of great people. Shared some laughs with some strangers, shared other fun things with strangers. It brouight me back to my happy place.

My dreams last night were increadible!!!

I went to both the S.F. and L.A. decompressions. I thought the L.A. party may have given the S.F. crowd something to aspire to. Then again, maybe that's just my hometown bias talking. Either way the Mutaytor put in one of their best performances I've seen (and I've been to many Mutaytor shows).

My friends and I had a great time with the Free Chai movement too. Thanks to all my friends that helped out so I could go dance.

Chai Guy,

I am so so sad that I missed your Free Chai Revolution! I didn't see youa t all there and no one I talked to saw you, even though I saw you placed on the map. I heard there was some beef with the LA Health Dept about giving out free food so I was thinking maybe you had to back down. Glad to hear you were indeed freeing the chai.

I have never been to SF Decom, but I've heard several people now mention that yesterday was on par or better than SF. Awesome!

Jbelson, you hit the nail on the head - we ARE having a great time when we're performing, and that truly does make all the difference. But another HUGE part of it is because we feed off the energy the crowd throws at us... and for that - THANK YOU!

CHEESUS, You amaze on the hoop! Got a few questions:
I wanna order a mutaytor cd, but I want to make sure and get the song that has an Ozzy (crazy train?) sample and a i believe a WHITE LINES sample. What is the name of the song? I find myself playing 'give a lil mo' a lot at work.
Also, is it true that Mutaytor is playing Vegas on halloween and not WeHo?

+1 I would love to sit in on cowbell one day.

It's not really my place to say, but he might not see your message...Cheesus isn't a hooper with, he's the band's very importnant head of fire safety. Though he does spin an awesome staff in his off time.

That said, he'd be one who can answer your other questions; hopefully he'll catch this message and pass on the info.

Jbelson, the song you're talking about hasn't been released on CD, and from what I understand, it may never get an official release, seeing as it contains SO many samples. Playing a sample-heavy song live is one thing, but when it gets recorded for release on an album, it's a whole 'nother (very expensive) ball o' wax. Maybe when we hit the real big time... And I think the song's working title is "Dub Pscience (Give a Little Mo')"

And yes, it's true - we are playing at the Rio hotel in Vegas on Halloween night.

As far as sitting in, I'm not the person to ask about that - you'd have to talk to Matty about that.

Well yay for them. I'll be at WeHo though. Judge has to work so we can't go out of town. I also got sick and missed Mutaytor at Decom. *sigh*

Well, belay my last... things didn't work out with the Rio, so we won't be playing Halloween there. Which means good news for you L.A. fans - we'll be playing HalloWeHo. More details coming soon...

I'm a bad boy. I secretly wished that things wouldn't work out at the Rio so you guys would play at WeHo. And what do ya know, my wish came true.
