Fuck...it's taking forever for a will call ticket to get the name changed so someone can sell it to me.
Double Fuck: A girlfriend wants to come to BRC with me. I'm not sure I want to take on bringing a first timer to the event this year. But it's hard to say no too.
Triple Fuck: Buying a house has to be the most expensive clusterfuck I've ever gotten myself into. Now that I've got the house it's all this little shit that keeps coming up. Air filters, changing locks, paint this, do that. I knew going in it was coming but I had no idea how quickly it would add up.
It's one of those classic fucked up Mondays. I gotta keep looking at the big picture, not the here and now...gotta think positive. But I wonder what the fuck was I thinking when I started this home buying process. </rant>

The timing on this sucks. I had two more months left on my existing lease. I just cut a check to pay the lease in full and I signed a release saying I'll be out by the end of August. The manager told me that they can't lease the unit until the lease is actually up and that I have to keep the utilities on in there too. I feel that since they are paid in full that i should be able to pack my shit and go, and then they can do whatever they want...including leasing it out to someone else. Why should I be paying for utilities on a place I won't be living in? It makes no fucking sense.Velvetina wrote:You were thinking on how nice it would be not to be paying for fucking rent...
And with only 2 months left subleasing is not an option. Maybe I'm overreacting but I think it's a shitty way to run a business....And those alleged tax advantages better be more than hype...right now I have my doubts.

That's fuckin easy, just turn everything off, unplug the fridge, etc, shut off the pilot lights, and fuck it.... you should'nt owe anything.......Kinetic IV wrote:The timing on this sucks. You fucking people fucking amaze me!!!!
I wish to fuck I was fucking coming out to BM this fucking year. Maybe I can get my fucking lazy ass together for next year's burn.
Kinetic, wait until you get to real fucking fun of owning a house... you get to write off all that fucking interest you are paying on the fucking mortgage. Kinda makes you feel like your pulling something over on Uncle Fucking Sam.
Ya'll have a fucking great time this year!!!! I'll be wishing I was there getting my fucking ass spanked...

I keep hearing about this allegedly fucking awesome interest deduction. But I'm coming in with 4 months of interest payments and I'm thinking that won't even come close to matching the standard deduction for this year. (Again, the timing is less than ideal) I've got some tax research to do that's for sure.
I guess I shouldn't whine about it, it's a house and not some slapped together apartment. Be thankful for what I have....I'm lucky to have it.

Kinetic, you might want to check liability. If the house is vacant and the power is off,,,no lights at all, you might have liability for damages if someone fucks with the place.
I've met people who are short-timers. They live in a house for the insurance company until the owners move in.
Sometimes 3 days, sometimes 3 months.
Might be a good fucking thing to check out.

I don't post things because I believe that they are the absolute truth. I post them because I believe that they should be considered.

The liability question has been bothering me...I can't have a homeowner's policy and a rental policy at the same time so if something does happen I could be in deep trouble. I've heard of people doing what you suggest but I can't see it working for my situation for a couple of different reasons. The suggestion however is very much appreciated.can't sit still wrote:Kinetic, you might want to check liability. I've decided to go above the "ultimate psychopathic manager from hell" that runs the complex I'm in and appeal to their Corporate office...it's not like I'm breaking a lease, I've paid the thing and if they would work with me they could make even more money. It fucking amazes me that someone's willing to overlook that kind of money...after all that's what most people are in business for unless it's a non profit group.

The year we bought our home (halfway thru the fucking year) we got back an extra $3000 from house related stuff including interest, points, and taxes. It's totally fucking worth it, man...Kinetic IV wrote:I keep hearing about this allegedly fucking awesome interest deduction. Gee, I stay away one day and y'all turn into busy little typing fuckers!
Re chocolate et al., Naw, I'm not giving it up, just have to exercise extreme moderation and watch for combos, so if no raspberries then I can have cinnamon trade-off deal. Chocolate is the stuff of life after all. Sigh, when I say I'm down to chicken and oaatmeal, I'm not far wrong. Fuck. Anyone who drops by camp is welcome to yummy chilled strawberry yogurt smoothies!
Spent all fucking day Monday getting our eyes and specs done, the doctor ran larry and I through the same appointment time which was fucking cool and efficient. Fuck but new glasses, even just two sets of lenses and a new sunglass RX, are fucking expensive. But I do have cool new fucking Rayban Wayfarers, fucking Blues Brothers style. And larry bought me more fucking jewelry; it was on clearance, woohoo, I'm a fucking jewelry addict!
