Any Vegans out there?

Post by amazon » Mon Jul 24, 2006 1:07 pm

Id love to share a kitchen with fellow vegans. Any of you out there? Would you like to share a space/cook together?

I'm a vegan at heart but vegetarian at times (cheese is the only thing that strays me from "vegan").

Heh. Next year a VEGAN camp is needed!

I'll attempt to bring some type of vegan meal for a share. I'll even provide the domain/hosting/time to help organize it. Yeesh! I'm already planning for next year?

I'm a Vagan..... But wait, you say, don't you mean Vegan ? Nah, it's Vagan. You see it's all rather vague, I can eat whatever I want :)

Yep! I'm vegan camping with both omivores and vegetarians, so we will have vegan options at all meals and you are more than welcome to stop by! It may not be gourmet, of course, but it will be something.

I wish I would have thought earlier to prepare for a giant Burning Man Vegan potluck/picnic! Wouldn't it be fun?

You can still put out a call and see what happens. All you need is a location.

Hmmm, you're right. Maybe we can make it work somehow. Post some info here and in BRC... And then voila! Yummy vegan potluck at Burning Man.

Anyone have ideas about a good place to have such an event in BRC? My camp is pretty small and may not be able to accommodate too many hungry vegans.

I was going to suggest the man or the temple or center camp cafe or something like that. Temple is probably too far out. Take over one of the plazas, perhaps. Go guerilla as it were. Fewer amenities perhaps, but something well within the nature of the event.

I imagine some dry ice system could keep tofutti frozen. Mmmm tofutti cuties on the playa!

So, yeah, let's have this potluck. Let's have it, say, on Wednesday while people may still have some fresh foods if they want to bring them. And let's do it at 7:00 p.m. The only place I know of that is centrally located and easy to find each year is Center Camp. It may be fun to descend on Center Camp with beautiful vegan dishes. What do you folks think?

It will be a bring-your-own dishes and cutlery event, of course.

Darling, I've got your vegan right *here*. What can you say about a guy who works for PETA and has "Meat is Murder" tatooed across the span of his shoulder blades? Find our Terraplane and you will find us. Find us and you will find a vegan. Hint: http://marmotov.blogs.friendster.com/photos/moop_unit/

Deeply hurt you have not checked in for so long. Come on home little Amazon, come on home.

And yes, Marmot darling, I will definately find my fellow humans who exist on the same plane as I.......(and we must do a crazy photo opp. with your tattoo)

Ar shucks, I should have clarified. It's not myself I speak of. No. It is part of the Terraplane ground crew. Amazon-- It's Mr. Beefcurtain's cousin. No, I am still hung up on the eternal question: "If God had meant for us humans to be vegetarians, why did he make animals out of meat?" Barbaric, I know. So eat me.
