Center Camp stage music favorites?
Center Camp stage music favorites?
Anyone else catch some good performances at the Center Camp music stage this year?
My favorites were Caly, a girl with bright red dreads playing IDM and saxophone, and the Afrikan Amerikans, a jewish and black duo rapping about strippers and saving the world.
Oh and yeah, and the opera lady with the viking helmet - nice!!

wish I knew who they were
(my first post!!)
I really loved a band I saw there on Friday night right before I had to go to work. It was around 11:30 or midnight. They we're dressed like clowns and reminded me of Soul Coughing. Anyone know who they were??
Also saw some really good singer-songwriters this time around. One girl's songs really reminded me of Elliott Smith. I was almost in tears with sadness/joy.

The
Phish played a good set there Tuesday night.
It was pretty epic.

After hearing him at center camp where he blew me away, I went to the after-burn performance in the Enthogen Village around 3AM and wasn't too impressed. He sounded tired and the sound wasn't as tight. I didn't even stay because it wasn't worth staying up for. But man his performance at center camp--I think on Thursday if I remember right--was really something awesome. He was really focused that night and had all the equipment set up. I think his art really requires a very percise looping and computer setup or the sound just falls apart.chromatest wrote:I totally agree! He was really good. Unfortunately, the sound sucked for his next performance after the Serpent Mother celebration. We had to walk away from that one.domitron wrote:Kid Beyond blew me away!!!
