Frank Zappa and the Mothers of Invention - One Size Fits All

I frickin' LOVE Zappa! Sometimes he's just so silly and irreverent, other times his music is so complex - it's like futuristic psychedelic space jazz. The man was definately a musical genius, no doubt about it!
...but it seemed like such a good idea at the time...

There is only one known remedy for "song-stuck-in-the-head-itis". You must replace the song stuck in your head with another song!

I'd recommend some David Bowie, preferably Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars. To make sure the remedy "takes" you must follow the instructions on the back of the album, "To Be Played At Maximum Volume."

Party on, Monkeypoo!

Listened to the Dead Kennedys "Fresh Fruit for Rotting Vegetables" on the way in to a temp job at Placon Wednesday morning. "Holiday in Cambodia" went really well with mist shrouded farmlands, a very red tinted sunrise, and humid, early a.m. air.... 12 hours later, the song was still stuck in my head, and my ankle was killing me.

Thursday-- went to Placon and told the Adecco rep about my ankle, and she decided I should take the day off, so I slept that day and didn't listen to anything.

Friday-- listened to most of the Clash's "London Calling" before my c.d. player decided to go on the fritz.

Right now, I am listening to... some electric motor humming. Can't tell if it is the refrigerator, my computer's fan, or the a.c.

Right now the relative silence is kind of nice! :)

Ack! I that's the url from Itunes. Here's a better one: http://groovera.com/letters.php
Just click on the link and then you have different player options. It's good chill but I still like SomaFM.com better (Groove Salad).

It may just be me going slowly mad but I'm sure there is a whole lot of this thread missing. I remember posting quite a bit of stuff in here over the last couple of years, and now it isn't there.

this is true.

It got 'miss placed" by accident a few years ago.

This thread was originally started by Badger.

What was posted then is gone.

Just the way it is.

Post again if you can remember.

It wasn't the original thread I don't think, seems to be everything from 2006 for some unknown reason.

I would repost stuff, but I'm not listening to it anymore. Kind of defeats the object don't you think?!!

Not really.

Yes it's not the original thread but the spirit lives on.
