I hear that term quite a bit when people are describing non-burners who do not "Get it"

So I invite my sister - and after years of trying to get her to come and explaining until I am blue in the face she still does not get it or wants to get it. Funny thing is shes already a burner.

So any other examples of who gets it? and who dont?

It reminds me a lot of when parents attempt to explain to non-parents why having kids is so wonderful. Mostly, it sounds like an expensive pain in the ass with only occasional vague benefits that don't really appeal to me or that I can get elsewhere much easier.

I think Burning Man sounds the same to most people.

I like to start talking about Burning Man at company functions to the other employees from other branches
when they start talking shit about thier V-Max or thier new Jeep or Humvie or whatever.

Nothing like a a picture of my artcar with it's flamethrowing penis to stop a verbal contest to see who's got the
biggest theoretical dick in the group based on who has the biggest or baddest toy.

I am still amazed by the number of times I show people videos and pictures and they still don't "get it" I hear so its a drugged out hippie orgy? It makes me want to bang my head through a wall.

Raga'pup...my oldest daughter didnt get it(21)ragged me about allowing my 14 yr old to go and referred to it as your above mentioned for 2 years, when she moved back to Reno last month, they(her and her betrothed) starting hanging at lemmongrad...meeting burners, seeing art installations being designed and built,meeting burners, getting the property ready for the boobies to go up and be made bigger,meeting burners, seeing art cars,meeting more burners........
