dual citizenship/eligibility?

Post by ygmir » Wed Oct 08, 2008 4:55 pm

Have any of you heard this?
I wonder how accurate it is?

It was posted that there are questions about Obama's eligibility to be president regarding Indonesian citizenship and Kenya.

I know the eligibility requirements, but, wonder if they apply here?

I ask this hoping for reasoned responses, ..............

I'm just wondering if it's accurate or possible......

And,
How does this apply to McCain, being born in Panama?

same questions........

I'd be tickled to see them both declared unqualified due to citizenship questions.......
but, that's just me.......

running for cover now...............

Well, McCain was born on a military installation where his father was stationed, and whether I'm for him or agin him, it would be horrible to think he would be disqualified since the USA sent his father there.

Here's an interesting article discussing the topic and it lists others who had similar circumstances.

Wasn't Obama born in Hawai'i? If so, that covers it. They've only just talked about babies born in this country from illegals not being citizens. If that's true about McCain, I would guess that an overseas base counts as us soil. For either, I think if he was not eligible that we'd know by now, and it's just late election crapola/

What makes you think we're concerned with outdated relics like the constitution? It's just a horse race now. Whoever is the best at convincing the American people he "won" gets to be president. Actual rules and votes are just a smokescreen.

The talk regarding Obama has been circulation for a long time.

Here's a link about his Kenyan citizenship:

And here's a link with his birth certificate:

yeah,
I guess I was behind the curve on that one..........
Seems an interesting circumstance, though.............
I was more wondering, if it were true, would it matter?
I wonder if either candidate won, and, then it was discovered they were ineligible for some reason, would it result in an action, or, would the PTB decide it'd cause to much social upheaval and just sweep it under the rug.........

Just wonderin'.........
