I was just asking because they check your car, dont they! just wondering on how good I would have to hide them! But if I have a bad feeling about it, BM is not about going out and doing drugs, it is about the experience anyway! So it will not be the end of the world you know!

mostly "they" are looking for stow aways, fire works, & guns.. or other banned items.. To be safe though.. you might want to hide your drugs in your anal cavity.

The gate crew aren't looking for drugs and could care less if they found some. It's not like they're going to open every baggy and foil packet in all 10,000 (a guess) vehicles and test them.

What you do need to be concerned with is getting pulled over on the way to/from the event and the police who will be present during the event.

Nevada is a very strict state. Pot is a felony with sentences up to 10 years for an ounce. Ex, Coke, Shrooms etc carry a life sentence since they can be lethal when taken. Booze and Whores is A-OK though.. go figure.

Drugs are best smuggled in your butt to avoid the K9s before the gate. Just make sure you clean your arm off when you recover your stash from the portapottie. Cops are usually stationed near the portapotties looking for peeps with blue on their arm coming out.

My car didn't get searched when I went to Burning Man, but my dad had his van searched one time coming back from Canada. They search through everything and finally got down to his shaving kit where they found-- a WHITE POWDER!!! My dad told them that it was baking soda for under his arms (since he doesn't believe in deodorant). The officer apparently didn't believe him, tasted some and found that it really was baking soda..., which my dad was using for his arm pits. From what I heard, they decided that they'd had enough of him at that point and let him go on his way.

I don't have any idea how to sneak illicit drugs into Burning Man. I don't want to risk an interaction with my prescribed med.s. For my prescribed stuff, it went in my shaving kit. (Oh, and something I shouldn't have done was stick it in my cooler without making certain that the water tight baggies really were water tight...! Between that and the water soluble glue on the EAS meal replacement bars the cooler water was really..., had to describe by week's end! Sloshed onto the backseat and there is still a stain...)

You've obviously done enough drugs already if you're asking for directions on how to smuggle them into a large event on a public message board.
If you do smuggle illegal substances in, after asking publicly how to do it, don't think after you're in you can break out your stuff just anywhere! Inside is where you're most likely to get busted. There are cops in plain clothes - mostly because of Einsteins like you!

No i understand that you cant just hit the pipe or bong right there in the open, people bring their kids to Burning Man, Yes I do drugs, but I smoke pot for my back pain (I am currently working on getting a card for it) just takes time! I have scoliosis, it sucks, and as for the mushrooms, they are a very pleasant journey for me! But if I did decide to do any drug, i would do it in the privacy of my tent!

Very truel. At the burn this year a guy comes up near us, about 20 feet away. (we are back behind everything) and he lays down prone and takes out a little pipe and takes a hit from the bowl. No less then 2 minutes and here comes a LEO on a little quad. He questions the guy but doesn't force it (even though the LEO must have seen the pipe hit). Goes to show they are watching and just one little hit off the pipe can draw law enforcement to you even if you think they can't see you. If you do take a hit of pot on the playa, don't ever breath out. Hold your breath until there is no smoke left. LEO's will work if they see or smell law being broken.

No matter how some of us might want life to be, the truth is that in Nevada Pot is against the law, period. The law enforcement is "sworn" to up hold the laws. They cannot decide which laws they wish to enforce. Do not make law enforcement work at burning man. Give them a week off also.

Dosmoss, you really brought the peanut gallery out of the woodwork with that question.

Greeters/Gate really are not there to uphold the drug laws of Nevada and are not searching for dope and wont hassle you if they see some. They are there to check for stowaways, make sure you have your ticket, give you some valuabe advice and make sure you are prepared with enough food and water. They will see drugs in your car only if you have them plainly visible which would mean you are ready to get busted by the real cops who are out in force and undercover. Do us all a favor and arrive at the gate clean and sober, save the drugs for after you've found your camp and parked your car. I bet that was your plan all along.

Yes, sober driving is key! I NEVER drive under the influence of anything, it is a really dumb idea! Lets see, wait until I am sober, walk, or die!!! Humm waiting or walking sounds better for me!
