Would the City of SF allow it to be used there? It might come down to that it weighs 6 tons and would it do any damage to the streets or the park just a thought. all tho I would like to see it in "action"

Strangely, I've never seen it in action on the Playa, only at Decom last year... so it might be at Decom again this year, but you'll have to come up to Portland to see it

Ha, the previous poster beat me to it. It shows up at the Portland, OR Decomp!!

I was glad to see it stomping around the playa this year. Last year I came across it stuck out on the playa and empty and I was sad. It's cool at PDX decomp, tho!! It's even more surreal than out on the playa to see this big monster walking around. :D

i think the walking best is still going through growing pains, it didn't make it much farther than off the trailer in 07, But like any experiment in mechanical motion there is lots of R & D that will need to be done over the course of much usage time, and if the guy only drives it a hand full of times a year, then it will be awhile before the walking beast is somewhat reliable.

personally I prefer the mondo spider, http://www.mondospider.com/ same kind of machine, but way more complex with it's articulated movement, and it seems to work allot better, but nowhere near as big..

How the fuck do they haul it? At 11 plus feet high that's cutting it close to the 13 6 rule. Oversize permit? Or can they make it pray, to fit the trailer?

Let's get rid of cars and just drive those...in a straight line, to work.

and I thought the Tiger I was impressive...
