Welcome to eplaya. By the way, what's Kodachrome? Is that the things they used to use back in the olden days before digital photography? I love nostalgic stuff. :D

Yeah, Kodachrome is old man, 75 next year, the life of an average human, how crazy is that? But....in the right hands, it blows the doors clean off of the digital juggernaut. :D

Welcome - I'm currently converting about 7000 35m slides to digital. I'm surprised at how many were Kodachrome. Approximately 30 seconds per slide so this is a long term project.
You know it's going to be a bad day when you jump out of bed and miss the floor.

Scanning some of what are now billions of Kodachrome slides are the future of the medium. Proper hardware and software are key, I took care of that in advance. I have over 1,000 rolls to shoot between now and the end of next year, that is going to be an enormous editing / scanning task.

Its funny, the really great photographers I have met out in the field etc shoot film. Very impressive. I am doing digital now since I switched from film when I convinced myself digital wasnt evil. Maybe will think about doing a roll or 2 again for practice. Hi Dan, Julie here (earth name)
