I just did a mead tasting about 2 weeks ago Ugly. It was pretty good stuff, though there were a couple I would not drink ever again. The one bad one for me was a vanilla infused mead that just reminded me of vanilla scented candles. These were all very light, more like wine. A friend of mine from Poland said that when he would have mead back there that it was much thicker.
It's going to be alright.

Morning YG. Beautiful sunny day here too in the 70's and tomorrow close to 80 Weather tells me it is getting closer to "Playa Time! Hooray!!!
Getting on my tennis togs for another round beating the elusive yellow ball! Firing my 2010 pendant molds this afternoon so that I can make a new batch for Playa Time. Different this year. Have two shapes rather than just on as in the past. Won't win any art awards, but fun to make and even more to gift.
Have a great weekend one and all!

Morning Elorrum, SF Opera is doing a simulcast of Aida from the SF Opera House at ATT Park FREE on Sept 24. We've gone in the past and it is really great fun and a great opera experience. We should get a Burner party together for this event! They get a crowd of about 25,000 for the event. Little Flower thought that she might come up for the ocassion. Beer, Hot dogs, peanuts and opera ... gotta be heaven!

Marty, that sounds fun. Littleflower, please come. Free! I would take caltrain to 4th and King. I'm imagining what that would be like to be dropping peanut shells on the ground (LNT training is in my mind... maybe a sack on the ground) watching opera. Here's today's show, playing at a theatre near you live at 1:00 EDT (EST? EDT?) 10:00am in cali.
Armida – Gioachino Rossini
This mythical story of a sorceress who enthralls men in her island prison. Renée Fleming, Lawrence Brownlee, Bruce Ford, Barry Banks, Kobie van Rensburg
o.k. something simple, and a treat for me... a real egg.

ahhh ... aida in a crowd takes me back to the verona festival in 2003 ... they had vendors walking around selling stuff during the break and everything! but the seats were stone and had no back ... unless you knew the person behind you, and they allowed you to lean on their legs ... and aida is long. i was the only on of our group who could stick it out.
ATT park will be far more comfy. can we bring a picnic, too? elorrum and i can get something excellent together, methinks!
i wish it was another day, though .... that's my mama's 76th birthday!
enjoy the show, elorrum ... ! sounds like fun.
