Why Thank you BB, I would have a beer with you also.

You know you have been here a long time, when you wander up to a house in Empire, ask for a beer, they give you one, only to discover the party you are suppose to be at is two houses down....

But you sit and visit anyway, because you know them all, and they are all friends.

:D

like anyone could refuse a beer to a lovable goat who wanders in the yard asking?.............

For me, they'd probably give me one, hoping I'd be happy and leave..........

OR, roll in into the road and yell "fetch"........

They do such a fine job, while I am just way to much of a clutz....

Some of the best parties are the ones you weren't looking for.

More than once, I've stumbled across a party, while looking for a different one and been urged to stay.
Often I have, but it seems to be a hard lesson to learn, that these are often the right places to stay.

Once I accidentally started following streamers that had coincided with the signs I was following, and ended up with the Balkan Unification Society.
A zillion little flags of countries that no longer exist, and food beyond belief.
They seemed delighted to see we benighted travelers, and wanted us to stay.
We always meant to go back.
I've always regretted not staying, and forgetting about the party we had come so far for.
I think it was Baltimore.

I've heard of this group since.
It's said that they have done here what could never be done in the Balkans.

The frog mouse conflict - bunch of friends (40 or 50 we were in age from 15 to 60) somehow start it ... made two camps...and fight/compete and have fun about everything...work hard, party hard, fight hard :D BTW frog were always better...because we made it super green...

Hi guys. Ahhh...I was just fondly reminded of a morning jaunt with Terminal City friends in 08. Which means it's time for a glass of 'shine'!

Back from the Black Rock Rendezvous. It was really terriffic! The weather could not have been better. Sorry I did not call, GH, the commotion of getting on the Playa on Friday afternoon after the bad weather earlier in the day and the late start on the way out today is my lame excuse. I tried calling YG on the way up, but only had his cell phone which he did not answer. Did see Piney and TIWII in Reno at that was fun.

The weekend weather was absolutely perfect and we all learred a great deal about the playa, its history and geology. Great BBQ last night and a wonderful coyboy poet and Bluegrass Band! Wonderful weekend and I highly reccommend it to all for next year!

Gotta put everything away now and relax a bit with a nice Virgin Mary!

Cheers!

ack, movers arrived a day early, so we have a good day today of unpacking my mother's stuff. Thankfully the garage still looks empty enough for a good work space. Almost there! I have a lot of work to do to get my tools and gear into order in the garage. Maybe this weekend. Looking forward to nice project time.

good morning!

Morning Elorrum. I'll have a bite of that for sure!

Miss that clear morning air on the playa this morning. Being at the playa when it is not the home to BRC is a really extraordinary experience. It is so huge! and so pristine and beautiful. Saw a wonderful rainbow in the clouds overhead. Never had seen that before! Went to about 6 hot springs, many too hot to soak in and some in the 180 degree range that you could not even put a finger in without beng scalded

More from time to time. Now a bit of coffee and a short snooze in the NEB. Feeling very mellow

Cheers all!
