Congrats BBS! Thanks for the fabulous drink too!

Today was busy and fun all at the same time. Some fellow burners and I headed to historic Elmwood Cemetery for a picnic lunch and then a small bit of shenanigans. We had BBQ ribs with the lunch and so posed as zombies with 'blood' all over us attacking a bystander near a crypt. Problem was that just after we zombified ourselves a funeral procession went by and was rather long, so we had to just stand there with our backs to the cars since we looked rather odd otherwise. Once they past we quickly took the photo. Right after we got cleaned up and started walking back down the road a truck came toward us. The driver stopped and said that we had been reported as taking risque pictures. What a hoot!

This evening we had newbie orientation, that was fun too.

Glad to hear the domes are coming along piney. I may have to go out and roll around in my aluminet tomorrow to get all covered in playa goodness.
It's going to be alright.

No, but HOTness doesn't only come from the outside. Some rather ordinary people are totally hot just by the way they carry themselves. That's the way you come across. I am totally bummed I am not going to meet you.

I am thinking we should kidnap you. You can be missing a week.

:::holds up bacon::: you know you want it.

Side note: I found out today that I am currently the only person up for a new position/promotion. Crazy. Could that really be me?

Wait Sput. Let's give this a once over. Ok my guy and I are planning to haul the BRC Wine Cellar to the Playa. We certainly aren't going to be able to foot that in the civic so we're taking an expedition. Either way it's a huge honor and at the same time a great responsibility. Niether of us have been to the burn. I'm not so proud as to say you wouldn't be needed. In fact I think that someone with your experience would be integral to marginalizing uncertainties and mitigating risks. You could be a liasan of sorts or a burn ambassador. If we can iron out all the details and confirm plans. Would you be able to make to Chicago at least?
Pm me if it's something you would consider.

Hi YG, Deb, FT and all you other barflies. Been a bit under the weather with a bad summer cold. Got to get better fast to be in shape for the Burn. Great time to snuggle in the NEB with FT. We both need it!

Hey, Misa, did not know you were in the theater. Have a few thespians in my family. My daughter in law has the lead in an Edward Albee play that we will be seeing in Palo Alto this weekend. She also does costume design and production for the San Jose Light opera.

So, ok, time for the cognac night cap and the NEB for a bit then off to ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZzzzzzzzzzzzzzs land

Sweet dreams, all

Driving out is not a possibility for me Pugray. I just can't take the extra week away. So, in transportation 'costs' I also factor in things like the time it takes. I have to fly in and I can't leave sooner than Sunday and have to be back by the morning of the tuesday after the burn, which is a lot of time, but not something that is drivable.
