Coming out on a whim..need a place to camp

Post by frieden » Sun Aug 22, 2010 9:36 am

Hello,

I am Frieden...I am coming into Burning Man on 3 Sept. I am looking for a place to camp. This was an on a whim decision to make, so I am trying to find some cool people to camp with so I don't have to camp by myself. I will have my own tent, food, and water. If anyone could help, it would be greatly appreciated :)

There will be 50,000 cool people you can camp with. Just go up to the first person you see and say, "hi, my name is Frieden. Can I camp here and will you be my friend"? It's easy--I do it all the time, only I don't call my self Frieden.
Seriously, just come into the event and find a spot that works for you. There will be lots of open areas and find a nice one that you like.
Welcome and we'll see you in a week.

On the Friday of Burn weekend you're not going to find a lot of open areas- you're best bet is to find a likely spot on the back streets (the ones closest to the entrance).

Other than that, follow Shambala's advice. People tend to be a lot friendlier in BRC then in most large cities in the US.

Hey there, welcome to eplaya!

When I was a kid I used to pray every night for a new bicycle.
Then I realized that the Lord doesn't work that way so I stole one and asked Him to forgive me
