OK I suck...For those of you that are grammatically inclined...I meant ON THE PLAYA....I am so ashamed...

I would love to see a chill dome that is also an art car that just meanders along slowly with soft things to lay on and meet new people.

A spontaneous Game show

A REALLY Big horn out on the playa that you could blow and make a HUGE resonate sound

A piece of theme art that was a huge version of one of those science class models of the universe with lots of cool gears and such

Nice hard packed playa

warm nights

chocolate covered cheese

Linear accelerator for launching bikes into the deep Playa.

Replica of the Stargate sequence from 2001.

1,000 TerraPlaya warriors.

The Man's-eye-view camera.

Art Car demolition derby.

1 acre scale model of Tokyo rigged with miniature pyrotechnics, and a Godzilla suit.

1 acre scale model of BRC, and a Man suit.

Larry-Go-Round.

Giant snowglobe.

A Crocodile Mile that's REALLY a mile.

Barbarella Camp - complete with blind naked angels - mad, erotic scientists - and the Matmos to throw all that pesky moop into

Lynch Camp - complete with dancing midgets speaking backwards - blinky florescent lighting - red rooms - cocaine - and a slice of cherry pie with coffee - all choreograhped to Angelo Badalmenti's haunting music (this may have been there last year though)

Roach Motel Camp - ????? - not sure what's there but people seem to be going in and not coming out...hhhmmmmm

HA! I almost built a giant Mousetrap game! Had blueprints in the works and everything...went with a cool conceptual sculpture instead

...maybe next...OK I am not even going to use that phrase.

I like the idea of a camera on the man. Maybe the Folding Time people could pull that off...and /or tie it to a webcam for outside broadcast for those who can't make it this year.

I think my top three of the ones listed would be the tactile dome, the actual mile Crocodile Mile, and the giant Mousetrap game. The jello pool runs a close fourth.

Being a first-time burner, I don't really know what to expect, but any of these things would totally blow my mind.

Thats funny someone mentioned the scale model of BRC with pyrotechnics..I talked with someone last year who had the same idea, and I've thrown the idea around with friends for a while as well. When we were running the drive in theater out there we had talked of filming a movie out there during the week of the festival, and then showing it friday night- complete with special effects and a scale model of BRC in which a giant space alien comes down, crushing camps in his path and eating the man before he has a chance to burn....I personally would like to see myself out there this year, but like mick jagermeister said " you can't always get what you want"

-- the built big-block with nothing but headers on right when the man lights up (again) one of my favs from '98)

-- a giant farris wheel that falls over (choriographed)

-- a giant sonic wave generator that creates a floating layer of vibrating playa (BYODM bring yor own dust mask - or dusk mask)
