I have been an artist since forever, but had gotten away from making anything…..that was until I went to Burning Man in 2001. It was like I had been shocked……the result is that I built a studio in my house an am constantly working on art project.
As far as showing…….I love that I can bring a piece of art out to Burning Man, but instead of setting it out on the playa I set it in front of our camp. I like the interaction of people walking by the camp and the art. I love making art and HATE showing art. So, Burning Man is an easy place for me to show……..
As far as the party aspect…….seems to me that there has always been (since 2001) a large party going on…….still, that’s what I like about Burning Man…..you can find anything happening there that you want…..and many that you don’t want…..or didn’t want until it was standing in front of you.

How do I get a hold of you?

Dr Helix: I had a similar experience. I have always made art and hidden it away in my home. But after my first burn I felt like the place was made for me to do art for it. So the past 2 and half years I have done just that. Its been great.
Roberto: You act like I care to spell a silly drug company name right :p. Maybe I want everything to go to shit, MAYBE I WANT THAT!
Flatlander13: Well put. I do love that Burning Man is not just a giant art gallery in the middle of nowhere.

That's it. I want an original Anti M to adorn my trailer this year. I will be by with a small metal sculpture to trade. See you there!AntiM wrote:Dr. H and Fffffcbcbc.. yeah, you. Why do you think I do the Home for Wayward Art? I love to paint, I'm not that good, but people seem to love my art. So I get hundreds of pieces into the hands and homes of others. It blows me away.

She doesn't trade. She gives. Of course she also accepts donations, so it may look like a trade...Dr Helix wrote:That's it. I want an original Anti M to adorn my trailer this year. I made something really fun to be a surprise piece for the Booby Bar this year. Of course, neither I nor it made it up. I'm thinking of ideas for gifting...
What I have to do is more of my art less focused on the burn...

Its
FIRE BREATHING CAN OPENER of THE APOCALYPSE if you must know.
Jesus, I would think everyone could figure that out. Isn't it bloody obvious.
AntiM, every year I have stumbled upon your Home for Wayward art and every year I have spent hours studying it and smiling. One of my most favorite things on the playa and it captures exactly what Burning Man is to me.

I guess Burning Man is teaching my 5 year old son about Art; he got inspired by my Exchanghibition Bank and made his own version out of Lego, with three people waiting in line, and asked me to photograph it near the model of the Pool. And then asked me to take a photo and post it on the 'Youtube of the project'. When I explained him Youtube was not for photos, he asked to put the pic on the Facebook of the project ( http://www.facebook.com/artasmoney ) and now is asking me every day, how many people saw it and how many like it

Your child is obviously a victim of decadent Danish playthings and in need of reeducation.
