Workinonit, great art project. My folks retired to Sun City so I visit often. The saguaro's are awesome! I can't wait to see it. Are you having any regional AZ events prior to BRC? If so, maybe I can 'visit my folks' that weekend.

That was an install.

25ft with 13arms, about 4 tons.

If you google "How to plant a saguaro." theres 10 pics of the how to.

Thought I'd help get thier project to the playa, but have'nt heard back from anyone.

They are building it in four foot diameter sections that are 4 feet tall to transport to the playa and construct on location. FIGJAM, if u are interested in helping out I can send u a link to the yahoo group they have. I was just promoting the project and am not involved in it really. I have my hands full with my own project.

Wow that is so cool. Amazing that such a huge thing can stand up in a 4-foot deep hole.

It looks like it is really close to the house though

maybe that is just the picture?

I am sure the AZ burners will put their flaming cactus where it won't hit a structure if it falls over! Can't wait to see it.
