In Default I live in fear. People often mistake me for being quiet. It's just fear of punishment generally.
On the Playa: I'm virtually fearless. I have a job to do. Some people mistake me for being obsessed about shit. No, I'm obsessed about my Art. I'm a damn good general conversationalist. But I hide behind my persona.

I'll be in my blanket fort until further notice.

Fuck. I could get carried away on this thread. I have lots of quirks. Keeps life interesting, I guess.
That painting is by one of my favorite genuis artists Salvadore Dali. I found a site that stated the following:
Geopoliticus Child Watching the Birth of the New Man (1943) Painted during his stay in the United States from 1940 - 1948, Geopoliticus Child Watching the Birth of the New Man initiates DalÃ's classic period. The ideas for DalÃ's classic works were derived from a variety of sources, including contemporary events, his Spanish heritage, and Catholic symbolism, replacing much of the personal symbolism of his surrealist period. While working on this painting in 1943, the artist jotted down some notes. They read: "Parachute, paranaissance (sic), protection, cupola, placenta, Catholicism, egg, earthly distortion, biological ellipse. Geography changes its skin in historic germination." Unlike the meanings of his surrealist paintings of the 1930s, this work's meaning is accessible because the surrealistic contradictions are absent.
The Geopoliticus Child reflects the newfound importance America held for the expatriate Catalan artist. The man emerging from the egg is rising out of the "new" nation, America, which was in the process of becoming a new world power. Africa and South America are both enlarged, representing the growing importance of the Third World, while Europe is being crushed by the man's hand, indicating its diminishing importance as an international power. The draped cloth below [above?] the egg represents the placenta of the new nation. An androgynous figure points to the emerging man, acknowledging the importance of this new world power. The cowering child at her feet represents the spirit of this new age, and the child casts the longer shadow indicating that he will replace the older age.
I thought it meant something else. To me it represents my Soul emerging out of the false facade or mask I have worn (my Ego), being reborn, coming to the surface or forefront -- where it belongs. Like an awakening... Realization that it's time to break free of the past and the pain and that it's OK to just be me. The Real Me.

I would rather hang out with my dog than most people
Being a Greeter scares the shit out of me because I have to be nice to people…..well maybe
I forget most people’s names before they are done telling it to me
I find nighttime at Burning Man to be really boring and the daytime really fun

How do I get a hold of you?
You just contact the mayor's office. He has a special signal he shines in the sky; it's in the shape of a giant cock.

There's nothing in the least wrong with this, in my opinion. I find that the daytime is really wonderfully unpredictable, surreal and exploratory; I might join in some crazed parade or sword battle or whathaveyou; anyone might call to me as I pass & invite me into their shade for god-knows-what. I can see further & am more likely to aim towards random things. Even going out dancing seems more interesting, fresh, unusual, in the day. I'm more outgoing and willing to meet new people then. Biking is easier and safer in the light. At night, things do seem more uniform & homogeneous, though I enjoy it in a different way. For some, this may be flipped on its head, but I'm saying that you make sense to me.I find nighttime at Burning Man to be really boring and the daytime really fun
If I'd emphasized Night Fun over Day Fun I would have missed 80% of my most unusual adventures at the burn.
Oh yeah . . . what sucks about me? I let people figure out what sucks. Which sucks.
