Based on some of the comments, I was impressed that BMORG allowed them to be on the panel.

Agree on all points. I seriously doubt if the initiation of the event could even happen these days. It was timely the foundation was laid when it was. And like it or not, the HAT was willing to compromise with society for the sake of preserving what we enjoy today. As Brian Doherty said (paraphrasing), "If the participants attend and enjoy the event without knowing the politics and conflicts behind the scenes, the only important thing is that it happens."
