Every day is something new to try! By "this year" you refer to TTITD, there's a new spanking bench almost complete, new shade structure layout, new bar, new tents, new camp mates,,,

TPBM embraces the Hedonistic philosophy enthusiastically

Naw. I'm a natural wet blanket.

TPBM prefers Oscar Wilde to Oscar Wiener.

I don't think so young lady, wieners are delicious  Though I do prefer a good braut over a wiener.

TPBM prefers sauerkraut on their brauts.

Is there any other way to have them?

TPBM only likes wieners on the playa.

It's true. The only (non-organic) hot dog I've eaten in the past 10 years was on-playa last year, from kind people camped north of me. Relish, onions, mustard, nice buns. :D (Sunday afternoon was a perfect non-obvious time for serving hot dogs; one is often packing up, less likely to stop for food, but need to eat more than ever due to physical labor.)

The person below me finds Burning Man a helpful form of exposure therapy for germophobia.

Sorta, I was sooo hung over from Saturday nights-Sunday mornings party, that yesterday was sorta a blur. But I did seize that my boss was out of town, so I could slack.

TPBM Can't decide to stay for Sunday night or not?

Nope. I am the Shin for the Oregon Fire Conclave so I literally HAVE to be there Burn night. And I like to leave on the Tuesday after the man falls. Allows me to help my village break down.

The person below me is trying to figure out how the hell they're going to fit everything they need on the playa in the space they have to transport it...

I think it's going to fit. What I need to do is allow 5 times as much time as I think it will take to make it fit.

No, not really. The GF loves glitter.
But she is not allowed to have it at home, cause once its on her, it ends up in the bed, then I end up at work half way through the day realizing I have glitter in my beard. She is allowed to have the glue sorta spread on stuff. Its a compromise.

TPBM hates glitter with a passion.

TPBM dislikes sparklemules.

LOL..."braut" is bride...not sure sauerkraut is in the realm of things to spread on a bride...but hey, to each their own...personally I prefer chocolate! As for prefering "braut" to "wiener"...guess that depends on your orientation! ;) Sorry...I had to comment as it was a much needed chuckle this evening!

And, no, I'm not volunteering on playa as I will be in the virtual world of Camp Envy. NEXT year however, I will most definitely find some place to volunteer!

TPBM feels deep sympathy for those of us not attending TTITD (now that we all know what that particular acronym stands for...) :)

Okay, I'll tie up the disparate streams. (And mix in a few metaphors while I'm at it.)
No, no volunteering. My ESD Experience was...less that satisfying. and no, not deep sympathy. When I couldn't go last year...well, you can't say I took it in stride...but I did okay.

TPBM has never posted in this thread before.

Heck yes!!! Monkey hut supplies purchased and constructed! So excited to get that put together out on the playa.

I have one new out fit to wear!
The Evap Pond isn't built, not that it will be hard.
My LEDs haven't showed up! I"M FREAKING OUT!

Mostly, but not completely. Still have a lot of painting to do. Not making any new costumes this year, going to wear what we've never gotten around to wearing.

TPBM has the basics packed already.
