Toilets at Burning Man

I know there are port-a-potties at Burning Man. But is there TP or soap in them? Do you need to bring your own TP/Hand soap?

yes. you need to supply for your own needs. please clean your hands. and if you work with food. Clean them realy good

Handsoap, definitely. TP (SINGLE PLY ONLY!!!!!) highly recommended. There is TP supplied, but that doesn't mean it won't run out, and as Burn weekend nears you are guaranteed it will run out. A lot.

Oh, did we mention SINGLE PLY ONLY, or that if "It Doesn't Come Out of Your Body, Don't Put It In the Potty"? Anything else can clog the hoses they use to clean them, and if it becomes to much of a pain to clean & we lose them, we lose the event.

My method is to bring a roll of TP when I go to the JOTS, then leave the roll. (When practical -- that is, when going from camp.)

It is perfectly normal to see people carrying TP. Also jugs from the night, to pour in the JOTS.

Bring light at night.
