New to the forum - Musician/DJ

Hello all!

My name is Al Vanjel, and I am new here.

I am a musician and DJ specializing in euphoric music with vocals and dubstep beats.

Welcome to ePlaya! You may care to take a look around the boards, and in particular the 2012 Art & Performance board, with its 'Artists Seeking Stages' thread. Give that first post a read. You may also care to take a look at stuff like the survival guide or the rest of the site so you can better prepare yourself. Cheers

Savannah: I don't know what it is, but no thread here escapes alive. You'll get 1 or 2 real answers at minimum, occasionally 10 or 12, and then we flog it until it's unrecognizable and you can't get your deposit back.

Welcome to the ePlaya! This is our lucky day! We certainly could use another DJ who is into dubstep! I was afraid there wouldn't be any of those on the playa in 2012. This certainly takes a load off of my mind. Welcome!

Hi Alvanjel,

The best way to DJ on the playa is to ally yourself with a camp as early as possible (right around now), or to arrange a whole event yourself on one of the open stages. It might help to network at Regional Events. Go the the main Burning Man website and click on "Regionals" in small print towards the top.

Be prepared for an uphill challenge . . . there are many more DJs then there are empty slots at the established sound camps.
