The best part is that it wouldn't make a person look like a douchebag the way a Segway would.

Top speed: 30mph. You could sure act like a douchebag.

I'm not buying one just because the song got on my nerves less than a minute in. (Well, that and the fact I'm broke...)

It would be sweet if it had some kind of homing device that could take you back to camp after youve had way too much to drink and passed out in the little trailer.

you pretty much got it lemur. They go way too fast for BRC streets, and nobody who uses one can seem to control themselves and keep it slow.

Re: Screw bikes -- I'm taking this to the playa
Do you remember just before Segway's came out, they used a code name, Ginger...? Yeah, well, probably not... I do because I think Ginger babes are hot. Uh-huh, minds work like that...
...and what's a' matter, SE Brian, a bunch of Segway's sneak up on you and scare you once...? Well, this ain't a Segway... You ride it like a skate or snow board, sideways, no gyro, not quiet like a battery powered Segway, has a 4-cycle engine, BUT... you are standing up.
Oh, and hey, seb, you're still here, first Burn musta' been good. Now, you're a Burner... I didn't see you at the bowling alley for a non-alcohol cooling beverage and a couple lines of bowl...? Maybe next year...

Re: Screw bikes -- I'm taking this to the playa
Bowling and nonalcoholic refreshing beverages sounds pretty awesome. [edit for a potential genius moment] Wait, was I supposed to be there? It almost seems familiar.
I forgot all about the Barbie Death Camp meet and greet and I missed the Brian Brunch. The first burn was pretty insane; I even had some playa moments -- both good and bad. I have a few pictures on Flickr from it.http://www.flickr.com/photos/brianmcglo ... 883573417/
Its the Segway tours that put a bee in my bonnet and just something about the damn things. They just annoy me.
The track thing seems promising. Maybe you can add a propane puffer on it.
