Actually I've had fun trying to guess what some people's given name is. Trilo could end up being a Steven while Savannah could be maulled!
I told you that in confidence!

Happymisterfuckinyay is typically too much for people to pronounce.
Mr. Sunshine is a handle that only Sweetpea can use. Amongst others is Head, Babyhead, Hey, and Private Snuffleupagus.
Foxfur is a mashup of my last name, the number of drives in the Voyager spacecraft, my favorite ukrainian dessert, and scotch tape divided by four. A hearty dash of cinnamon completes it.
It's so easy that even a drunken three year old could figure it out.
(I'm on alcoholic rootbeer float number five. Another three and I'll explain the whole algorithm with a flowchart.)

Sometimes I'm confused by what I think is really obvious. But what I think is really obvious obviously isn't obvious.

When on the Playa I do not intend to have a playa name. Not my thing.

Online I am known as TattooGoddess or TattooGoddess85. Just my thing.

In my Career I am known as Danielle Hetrick. Mainly because I do have one thing on my record that will be gone next year.

In my normal life I am Danielle I could care less who knows to be honest. I will just be Danielle on the playa.

I found that there were three types of people: people who don't use playa names, people who exclusively go by playa names, and people who sometimes go by playa names. I found that if I introduced myself as Bird, people would be more likely to reply with a playa name. If I used my given name, it would be more likely that someone would reply with a given name.

I find the whole concept to be really hokey but also lots of fun when in the mood for it.

Online is a whole different issue. I don't want all the inane crap that I post showing up on a google search of my given name - hence the handle 5280MeV. Also my given name is already taken by one of the mods.

Frog is not a name but some sort of animal affinity/guardian/spirit sort of thing. Not sure what it means. Frogbird, on the other hand, is a true and secret name. It is very important that nobody learns of this name.

5280MeV - What's with the picture in the middle?

I thought the three pictures explained some series of progression of you becoming a frog bird. But the middle one throws me for a loop.
In my world there's only legible and more legible.

The road to frog bird goes through many difficult stages.

I never thought of making an alcoholic root beer float.
What kind of alcohol?

I just happen to have a gallon of blue bunny and fifty gallons of root beer.

I have two playa names depending which side of center camp I am on. I had a feeling of horror when Sailman saw me on the "other side" of the playa and called me Shammy. The people I was with looked at me with a weird confusion. I don't think anyone really caught it.

I'm still not sure how I should actually pronounce Shambala. I only type it, but never really say it out loud.
