Re: ACK! The suspense is killing me!!
Me, I'm sitting out this year for a couple reasons. The wife has patiently followed me out there for the last 4 years and she deserves to get to pick an alternative for this summer (looking to be Mammoth Caves). As well, going to the burn from Michigan, towing a camper has really bent us over financially and there are some things we want to do around the house.
Also, this new ticketing procedure has me curious as to how well it will play out, so by sitting out and watching every bodies experiences play out here on eplaya, it will give me a better idea on how it will work next summer.

Excuse me Ma'am, your going to feel a small prick.

Probably the most sensible, logical reason I've heard for someone opting to not go this year.. Usually all I hear is "Bitch bitch bitch.. new system bitch bitch bitch."
I hope you don't go too crazy at the end of August when your watching the live webcast thinking "I wish I could be there right now!"

Sail Man, assuming of course they use this system next year?
We are fully committed to this year, exploring storage options around fernley to make future trips less costly etc. Storage is cheaper than gasoline etc when hauling all this weight. But I am already starting to think, hmmmm, perhaps hawaii or some other vacation would be nice one day.

@jacakass - yeah, you could probably sort something out. Subscribe to the currently-locked 'awarded tix' thread, and then your newsreader will notify you when there's been a change or posts in the thread.
@piehole - you were sent a one word private message that said relax, sent because your post read like you were going to piss yourself. No scolding, for that matter I don't think there was even any punctuation.

I also said I mayhave exaggerated about being scolded.
piehole wrote:tamarakay wrote:Piehole, you are my new hero. Why in the world would anyone scold you for that? hilarious!
Well it wasn't so much a scold as it was him telling me to "relax"

The locks, the locks on "Tickets Offered" and "Tickets Wanted" Thread...
Take em off-take em off now.!. This- this thread oppression take the heavy chains off-they need to be free, so we know they are actually selling tickets, we need just that much, not that we get one per-seie.
Benny Hinn could free those chains....Or not.

Why take the locks off? Nobody can sell tickets (or buy them yet) because tickets haven't been printed, and won't be for quite some time still.jorgebongo wrote:The locks, the locks on "Tickets Offered" and "Tickets Wanted" Thread...

you have been refreshing the wrong threads all this time. Look for "Official "Awarded Tickets" Thread" instead.jorgebongo wrote:The locks, the locks on "Tickets Offered" and "Tickets Wanted" Thread...

No. The tickets wanted and tickets offered threads (for people looking for or offering tickets to sale to other people) will likely remain locked until ticket fulfillment happens in June.

If it kills you, can I have your ticket?

Re: ACK! The suspense is killing me!!
I'm not sure why exactly (perhaps because it took several months last year to sell out, with good warnings) but I'm not worried about the possibility of not getting a ticket. Rather, I am curious about what it's going to cost.

Re: ACK! The suspense is killing me!!
I'm with you Elorrum. Granted, this is my first year so I didn't experience the sellout last year, but it just seems unlikely to me that more than 40,000 people already had their shit together enough to register during that 2 week period. I could be ENTIRELY wrong and feel like an ass when I'm denied a ticket, but for now I'm just anxious to be able to say "I have a ticket!" I'm not really worried that I won't get one.

Crap - I had counted on this NOT happening. My card expires in February and I found out too late to order a new one early - So I had to enter with my card that expires on the 1st of February. Now I just have to hope that I get my tickets on the 31st. *le sigh* I am not too optimistic.

Re: ACK! The suspense is killing me!!
@danibel - it's not like the people working on the process are just sitting around for the next week. Rushing through this part of the process could mean that they miss more scalper proxy registrations - or worse, that a legitimate person's registration gets denied because it got flagged.
@Finxiekins - sorry to hear it, but the 'on or before February 1' info was posted back in November - there should have been more than enough time to make arrangements with your bank. Hopefully things work out.

Re: ACK! The suspense is killing me!!
Oh I know - Haha, it's not the system's fault it's my own. I didn't know we were going until a few days before registration ended this time around and my bank told me it wasn't enough time to order a card early. There's still March! But, I'm going to the bank today to see if there's anyway to extend the card use one more day.

I have the exact same problem Fixiekins. I too was hoping for the tix to be awarded before 1st Feb. :-/
Mr Trilobyte, please can you tell me if there's any way to contact the ticket people?
